When tensions between the U.S. Government and the Sioux Indians reach an all time high, the sympathetic Major Robert Parrish intervenes and sets up a meeting between Chief Sitting Bull and President Ulysses S. Grant. The peace talks look promising, but General Custer's temper threatens to derail everything before a resolution can be reached.
Trivia: Actor J. Carrol Naish was a two-time Oscar nominee. Once in 1944 for Best Supporting Actor for the film Sahara and again in the same category for A Medal for Benny in 1946. While he never won an Oscar, he did win a Golden Globe for his role in A Medal for Benny.
