Trivia: Gene Autry is the most famous of the "Singing Cowboys", he was also the first recording artists to receive a gold record for selling 1 million copies of a recording. Alan Hale Jr. (Matt Kimbrough) is best known for his role as The Skipper on the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island but he appeared in over 200 movies and TV shows, primarily Westerns. This movie is based on the short story Phantom .45's Talk Loud by Joseph Chadwick.
