In the post-Civil War days, a Viennese dancer (Yvonne de Carlo) in Berlin falls for an American reporter who enlists her as a spy during the Franco-Prussian war. She returns with him to Arizona where she uses her charms to get a town named after her and later in San Francisco, to marry a wealthy Russian who builds an opera house for her.
Trivia: A camp film classic, the story was inspired by the career of dancer Lola Montez, who was the mistress of the King of Prussia and renowned throughout the Old West. Yvonne de Carlo went on to star in the TV series, The Munsters.
