Riders of Destiny (1933)
Director: Robert N. Bradbury
Actors: John Wayne, Cecilia Parker, George Hayes, Forrest Taylor, Al St. John
Runtime: 53 min.
John Wayne stars as Singin' Sandy Saunders, a sharp shooting drifter who helps to fight off robbers backed by local bad guy James Kincaid (Forrest Taylor).
Trivia: Riders of Destiny was the second movie that ever featured a singing cowboy. Wayne's dubbed singing voice bared little resemblance to his own and Wayne so disliked children asking him to sing in personal appearances that he declined to make any more singing cowboy movies. Monogram Studios chose Gene Autry to replace him in future singing cowboy flicks.
